Hello from Tasmania! Winter here is well on its way, with much cooler (8 to 15 degrees maximums), wetter (at last, the drought seems to be over!) and windy days in recent weeks. We are now past the winter solstice and we have had a few dustings of snow on our mountain peaks (but so far not enough to go skiing) - time to be indoors by the fire rather than out in the garden - and time to keep in touch!
And maybe winter is a time to feel more introspective too... What am I doing in my life that I like?... What I would like to do differently?... How can I help the world be a better place?.
Spreading the word... there ARE alternatives to our "throw-away" culture ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
People find out about environmentally-friendly products in a variety of different ways... I am constantly amazed at the many routes folk take to find Moon Pads! Some see me at Salamanca Market, another is given a brochure by a friend, a web surfer finds my site, another sees a small advertisment in a magazine, yet another has a friend who says "I know a different way" when a she complains about the cost of living.
Please... help spread the word... tell your friends... follow the link at the end of this newsletter... And in so doing you not only help them live more sustainably and economically... You help our Planet too!
Woollies are now made from selected recycled blankets ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Making Woollies from new fabrics costing around
$60 per metre became totally uneconomical for us and our customers! For
a while we tried using polar fleece fabrics (and the Fleecies are still
available for parents with babes allergic to wool) - now we are using Pure
Wool blankets, sourced from our local second hand shops.
Our customers have responded very happily -recent feedback from them includes: "Brilliant." "We absolutely ADORE them [Woollies], they work like magic (can't believe how waterproof they are!) and we are thrilled that we decided to use cloth nappies: your Woollies make it all possible!"

Look after your Keeper!!

Keeper users LOVE their Keepers... so when they loose them getting a
new one becomes a priority! Recent cries of help have come from a cat-lover
who had just had her Keeper chewed beyond use; a slippery-fingered user
of a composting loo; a tourist whose luggage was stolen in Vietnam; and
a cat-lover who had just had her Keeper chewed beyond use for the SECOND
time!
My advice is to avoid the trauma and conserve your finances by handling your Keeper more carefully, keeping your Keeper in hand luggage when travelling; and storing it on a high hook in its calico bag when you live with cats!
