Moon Pads eNewsletter October 2003
Hello to you all. Here at Moon Pads I have had a very busy few months! And thankyou for the way you are all spreading the word about re-useable products!! It's great when I get feedback from you and other customers too, so thanks for your comments! It is always gratifying to know that others appreciate the products I make and sell :-)))
As the year rushes onwards some of us are beginning to plan Christmas presents... As a thankyou to eNewsletter subscribers for their work in 'spreading the word' I have a special PRE-CHRISTMAS GIFT WRAP offer: Buy three or more Moon Pads as a gift for a friend (or yourself!) and I'll 'gift wrap' them in a FREE Moon Pouch. Just write 'CHRISTMAS GIFT WRAP' on your order form. Or forward this newsletter to a friend and they can take up the offer for themselves! You/they must be/become a Moon Pads eNewsletter subscriber and order before the end of November. <http://www.moonpads.com.au/order_form.html>
Thinking about items in a pouch.... I have a new product for those with babies... and this one is useful for parents who use either cloth or disposable nappies! It may be a Baby Shower or Christmas gift idea for those new-parent friends of yours whom you haven't yet converted to the idea of cloth nappies.... the NAPPY CHANGE MAT comes in its own 'purse' and includes 2 towelling wipes which have their own waterproof pocket. So dampen the wipes before going out and changing nappies away from home becomes an easier task and the mat protects from leaks and messes in the process. The mat is soft nursery print flannelette backed with unbleached undyed towelling. Size approximately 60 x 65 cm. Cost $24.95 each. <http://www.moonpads.com.au/Zappy_order_form.html>
A hint from one of my customers: If you are needing only the nappy wipes... order the Moon Pads inserts ($1 size)! I'm told they are the 'best nappy wipes she's found'! If you need to take them out and about ... they fit nicely into the 'extra-large Moon Pouch' (see <http://www.moonpads.com.au/order_form_incont.html>. The two waterproof pockets in the pouch allow you to have a 'clean' and a 'dirty' pocket for carrying the dampened wipes.
NEW IDEAS: Two other potential products that I have been working on with volunteer customers are waterproof-backed cloth breast-feeding pads and g-string Moon Pads.... to date the former has been declared a success and is available on request (add 50 cents to the prices on the website order form, choice of small or large diameter). I'm also looking at a 'panty shield' design for a very thin every day pad - is there any one out there with suggestions for that one?
The G-STRING PAD has gone through several variations and is still under review... do any other g-string users have any suggestions for a viable design? As you can imagine, some of the issues are: if used in panties how is it kept in a central position without sliding backwards on g-string panties; if it is independent of panties how should it be attached to what kind of belt; and just what size does it need to be??? Any suggestions anyone??
As summer approaches and women younger and older plan outdoor activities, THE KEEPER sales have increased again. It is great that more and more women are learning about alternative menstrual products. Keeper users have recently reported they enjoy using their Keeper because: it reduces the heat and sweating they have with disposable pads; is easy to discretely empty and rinse when on a bushwalk, it is easier than washing out cloth pads especially when in company of men, it is so easy to take travelling, and it's a great choice for every day life at home and work too! HEALTHY LIVING TIP: Have you ever tried using Sodi Bicarb (ie sodium bicarbonate) around the house? It has MANY uses and is a simple, cheap and environmentally friendly solution found in almost every kitchen (unless you never bake). It is one of the ingredients in Baking Powder, and often used alone to raise biscuits or 'soda breads'. try using it for:
